Thank you for your interest in the voluntary role of Welcome Team member.
In 2017 Welcome Week runs from Sat 16th Sept to Mon 26th Sept.
The role has changed for 2017 and as a result you will be expect to work for:
- One day during Private Halls moving in weekend – 9th and10th September;
- One day during University moving in weekend - 16th and 17th Sept;
- One to two shifts throughout the rest of Welcome Week; and
- Welcome Fair, 20th September to assist BCUSU.
Additional shifts may become available but will be given to on a first come first serve basis.
As the role is voluntary, there will be no interviews, but training will contribute to the recruitment process.
Training will take place during the week to two weeks before Welcome Week starts – date yet to be confirmed. If you are not available for training, you may forgo the opportunity to take part in the scheme.
Successful applicants will receive:
- Support and training from BCUSU;
- Meal vouchers for every shift worked;
- 2 T-Shirts to carry out their work; and
- An end of Welcome Week celebration activity (details TBC).
