Join this event hosted by Oluwadamilola Iyanda, BCUSU Vice President Equity & Inclusion, for Women's History Month.

On the theme of women educating & inspiring each other, BCUSU are hosting external guest speakers. Book your free space and be inspired by women in leadership or entrepreneurial positions, some who have succeeded in male-dominated industries.

This event is aimed at people who identify as women, but all BCU students and staff are welcome regardless of gender. 

The event will consist of 20-30 minute talks from the following guests:

Funto Adeyemi

Funto Adeyemi

AI Scientist, Mentor, BCU Alumnus- Masters in Artificial Intelligence

Funto has driven impact in various companies by implementing state-of-the-art AI automations and currently specialises in generative AI at SMG (Commerce Marketing). She’s also a top-rated mentor on the famous ADPList mentoring community where she guides freshers in launching or transitioning to AI and data.

Jin Masaun

Jin Masaun

Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant  

Jin has 26 years of experience working in the Education Sector, from Primary School to Secondary School (current). She supports children, helping them reach their potential and make a difference. In her down time, Jin is an active volunteer, taking part in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies, and volunteers for multiple sports events and community festivals. 

Dr Adeshola Cole

CEO & Founder of Tritek Academy, Tech industry mentor 

Driven by her passion for bridging the accessibility gap in tech careers Adeshola founded her award-winning EdTech organisation which is dedicated to helping individuals thrive in the tech industry. Dr Cole is a community mentor and provides sessions on instilling confidence, resilience and leadership to inspire the next generation of women to pursue their aspirations. Her impact has been recognised with awards such as Outstanding Woman in Tech 2023 and more.

Assitant Digital Investigator

After completing her degree in Digital Forensics here at Birmingham City University and graduating in 2023, Molly now works as an Assistant Digital Investigator at Resillion.
