Our Aim

Support and empower women of BCU, help create a safer space for all students.

How will we do it?

Through social events, fundraisers and awareness campaigns.

Last year we hosted socials for all self-identifying women to meet, make friends, and discuss the issues that matter to them. We've hosted anything from moodboarding sessions to a fundraiser for Refuge! Get in touch with us on social media to find out what we're up to next.

Why join?

We fight the good fight and so can you. Join us in taking small steps towards a better future for equality, education and understanding.

Membership to our society is completely free. 2020/21 memberships will go live on Tuesday 1st September 2020, and all annual memberships will expire on 31st August.

Women's History Month

We are funded by your Students' Union to take the lead on Women's History Month. Each year we develop a theme, and a series of events that matter to us, we've even got our own page at bcusu.com/women Get in touch with us to find out how to get involved.

We Are Protected

Our Society is a Protected Society, which means we never close down, are free to join, and are funded by the Students' Union for our events and activities.

This is because we represent a key demographic of Birmingham City University, and are recognised by the National Union of Students as part of their Liberation Campaign

As a member, you'll be included in the random sample to attend the Student Advisory Panel - voting on the ideas of students from across BCU.
