Scratch TV is BCU's online channel, broadcasting live and pre-recorded shows from The Parkside Building.
We do studio-based shows, as well as outside broadcasts, covering events such as Welcome Fair, Varisty and the Students' Union Elections. We get involved in various other projects including ValeFest and other events around the city. You also have a chance to win awards with our society.
Complementing BCU's courses in the School of Media, and using their first class digital studios and location kit, there's a mixture of people involved with Scratch TV - from Media students to those who have never set foot in a studio before. There's opportunity to learn to use kit, studios and gallery spaces and you can do as much or as little as you like.

Scratch TV is part of the Scratch Media family. When you join, you pay a membership fee for the academic year which gives you access to create your own content and use the equipment and facilities at Scratch TV.
This means that you can take advantage of the opportunities by doing as little or as much as you'd like.
If you would like to help run the society for the next academic year, you can put yourself forward as a candidate during the Nominations Period.
When the polls open, all members will be able to vote for their preferred candidates.
If you are successfully elected onto the committee then you will be invited along to our Team BCU Training event on Wednesday 15th May.
11 posts are up for election.
