We're Recruiting:

The People of Colour Society is recruiting a City South Committee, responsible for ensuring that the voices of BAME students at City South are heard. This committee will inject their creativity and ideas into the activities of the society, and make sure that campaigns, events, and policy meetings happen simultaniously in the City Centre and City South.

  • City South Publicity Officer
  • City South Reps (Multiple available: Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic). 

What We Do:

The People of Colour Society has representitives from a wide range of student groups - ACS (Afro-Carribean Society), Indian Society, MSA (Malaysian Students' Association), West-Indian Society, and the International Society.

The purpose is to unite the People of Colour community at BCUSU, and work together to do the following:

  • Black History Month: To organise events for Black History Month in partnership with your Students' Union, and the University. 
  • Campaigns: To campaign on the issues you care about, and making sure that your voice is heard. 
  • Events: To host events which unite the different ethnic communities at BCU, celebrating our diversity.
