We host socials for all LGBTQ+ Students of Birmingham City University. These can be anything from discussions to nights out in the gay village! Get in touch with us today to find out what we've got planned
February is LGBT+ History Month, and we work to institutionalise it at your Students' Union. Each year we develop a theme and a programme of activities, working closely with our members and the University to ensure what we're doing makes an impact! We've even got our own page at bcusu.com/lgbt
Each year we take part in the Birmingham Pride, the UK's largest two-day Pride Festival, by marching in the parade. We give you a platform to march alongside members of your community, either at Birmingham City University or beyond! Get in touch with us if you want to know more about what we've got planned.
Our Society is a Protected Society, which means we never close down, are free to join, and are completely funded by the Students' Union for our events and activities.
This is because we represent a key demographic of Birmingham City University, and are recognised by the National Union of Students as part of their Liberation Campaign.
As a member, you'll be included in the random sample to attend the Student Advisory Panel - voting on the ideas of students from across BCU.
If you've got a question the society can't answer, or are interested in starting your own Protected Society, get in touch with the Protected Society Coordinator.
