About Computer Science Society

Our Aims

  • Our computer science society aims to create a supportive environment where students help each other in theoretical subjects that weren't understood greatly.
  • Organising regular coding competitions and hackathons to enhance coding skills as well as problem-solving abilities.
  • Invite guest speakers and professionals from the tech industry to give talks and support helping us to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies.
  • Helping members build their resumes and preparing them for interviews.

How will we do it?

Setting up a system of study groups and peer tutoring to provide a supportive environment for students, encouraging students with more experience to assist those who are having difficulty with theoretical subjects, and study sessions that allow participants to work together to solve problems.

Plan frequent coding contests and hackathons to improve problem-solving and coding skills, and provide rewards or recognition to the winner. To accommodate all members, these competitions can be conducted virtually or in person.

Invite professionals from the tech industry as guest speakers to keep your members abreast of the newest trends and technologies as well as make contact with former students who are now employed in the technology sector; they may be more eager to share their knowledge and perspectives.

Organize mock interviews with alumni with recruitment experience. Members can gain confidence and get useful feedback on their performance from these practice interviews. By offering assistance with resume construction and interview preparation, the Computer Science Society can give its members the tools they need to succeed in their future careers
