It was a busy week with stalls every day in the Student Union from 11am in the morning to 4pm the afternoons. Our guest speaker was running late, and so alhamdulillah Mufti Liaquat zaman filled in for half an hour until shaykh Muhammad al Ninowy (USA, Syria) came delivering a speach called "diseases of the heart and it's cure" Mufti Liaqut also touching upon the same topic.

Alhamdulillah the lecture was a success and there was a well deserved meal for everyone who attended at the end of the lecture, free pizza, crisps and drinks were served (all halal of course).

we had bucket collections all week, and on the stalls we had Henna artists applying Henna, we had cakes, sweets, doughnuts, hijabs, clips, purses, canvases, jilbabs, rings, make up and much more.

On Friday 23rd March 2012 we counted the last of the money we raised. Alhamdulillah we are please to annouce we have raised £1305.18 for the people of Syria. We pray Allah accepts this charity from us, may he reward all those who helped take part, all our volunteers and may the money each Syria and benefit its people in sha'Allah :) Our chosen Charity is Ummah Welfare Trust (who have a 100% Donation Policy).
