Your Students’ Union is aware that some students have been contacted about their course closing for new applications from 2023/24. This follows an extensive, university-led, review of the undergraduate courses for future students.

If you are a student on one of the courses affected, you will be able to finish your studies as expected. The University has stated these plans will not have a negative impact on your course experience.

As your Students’ Union, we will be working with the University to ensure those standards are met. It is key students have the best possible experience during their course, regardless of future changes. We will ensure the University is adhering to the Student Protection Plan, which outlines what happens in these type of situations.

We will also be working with the School Representatives to ensure any issues are flagged and we can act on them. If you are unsure of who your School Rep is, please email studentvoice@bcu.ac.uk

If you are a student on one of the courses and are worried, please contact our Advice Team. Our trained advisers are independent from the University and can help address these concerns, making sure you have our full support.

We will continue to monitor the situation, so keep an eye on our website and social media for further updates.
