    Improvement on Curzon Building signage.

    Current
    • Marketing and promotion
I am adding this idea on the board in the hope that the current officers, and the next officers can work on this with the university.

I realised that some students from different levels and faculties are still confused when it comes to Curzon Building signage. I also collected feedback on this, and shared it during BLSS student council meetings and via email.

The building is 'divided' in two parts, Curzon A and B, and this appears on students timetable. However, there are not explicit ways to differentiate this. The implicit way is looking at the rooms number.

In my opinion, it would be beneficial for the lifts signage to contain this information 'Curzon A', 'Curzon B', and instead of 'You cannot go to...', it would be 'You can go to...'

Students are starting university in September or January, entering the building for the first time as they are from different faculties, prospective students will enter the building for the first time during Open Days/Taster Days etc, therefore an improvement of signage is an improvement for all.

This has been discussed with Lucian Tipi (Associate Dean for Teaching, Education and Student Experience - BLSS), Sarah Pemberton (Head of College of Law) and Tara Fitzpatrick (Real Estate/Marketing team), therefore this will possibly be implemented, but I am adding this here to ensure that this idea will be carried on in the academic year 2024-2025.

I saw that some signages had been added within the building e.g 'Attendance matters', but not these two changes yet.

    Thank you for your consideration.
