Society Funding Request

All societies within BCUSU are self-funding; that means they generate the money they need to operate through a mixture of membership income and fundraising.

The Activities and Representation Team also administer a pot of money which is available for groups to bid for.

This pot doesn't replace the need for student groups to generate their own income, but can be used to supplement their efforts if the society are new, or if an event benefits a large numbers of students.

To be able to apply for additional funding, the committee should complete the form linked below.

Before we will consider your application, each member of your committee should have completed all required paperwork and training.

Following submission, all requests go to a panel for a decision and, as such, responses won't be immediate.

Budget Spreadsheet

Whilst a budget spreadsheet isn't required for your submission, it may help to support your request.

If you have a large amount of money in your fundraising account, it will allow the panel to see what other expenditure you expect to have over the coming year and what fundraising activity you have planned and been involved in.

If you wish to include a budget spreadsheet with your submission, you can download a template here.
