Tie-Dye Workshop

Come join us for the last workshop of the year!
Wednesday 03 May 2023 2pm - 4pm Graphics Space (Outside P418)

Join us this Wednesday from 2-4pm in Parkside, 4th floor graphics space for an exciting and colourful workshop led by lecturer Ally Standing all about the process of tie-dye! In this hands-on workshop, you will experiment with different techniques of folding, twisting, and manipulating fabric before tying or binding your piece and applying dye. You'll learn how to create a range of stunning patterns including the spiral, the crumple effect, bullseye, stripes, circles, and lots more.

If you wish to take part in the workshop, please bring along a pale coloured (white is ideal) T-shirt or other garment - this should be ideally 100% cotton, or at least 50% cotton for the process to work. The dye itself & other materials needed will be provided. We’ll also have a few extra shirts but please try to bring your own. Looking forward to seeing you all ;)!
