My Top 3 Goals:

Student Safety:

  1. Ensure crime safety continues to remain a priority for both BCUSU and BCU.
  2. Join forces with everyone, battling for better student safety across the University.
  3. Use the Report and Support Tool to ensure #YourVoice is at the centre of decision making.

Diversifying Representation:

  1. Implement fundamental changes both on campus and online to ensure real change can occur.
  2. Work hard – and smart – to increase individualised representation for all identities.
  3. Gather student feedback on where there are gaps in representation, especially for minority groups. (Drop me a dm on @vabs.a if you would like give feedback.)

#StudentsDeserveBetter:

  1. Deliver dynamic post-Covid response to provide you the best student experience.
  2. Increase the access to Hardship Funds for International and European students.
  3. Lobby the government to deliver maintenance GRANTS instead of loans!

My Experience:

Poem of the Pandemic President

A year like no other,

Blended learning; what a phrase; it feels like it's been around for decades,

It’s been year of video call fatigue, social media burn out,

A year separated by screens, masks and social distancing.

But we are not separate, we are one voice, one body united by a team,

Supported by me; VABS, because no leader is successful without the strength of their team.

A second year as President,

To continue real change and stand-up strong,

For the party, the study, the late-night cigarettes,

The family focused, the supporting friend, the one who’s constantly busy, the one that just needs of a friend.

The one who’s not sure, who they want to be, the one who suffers for their identify.

The one’s who just want to be safe and for those first in their family.

For everyone, who walks into this

Why people should vote for me:

As President, I have led BCUSU through the pandemic. I can lead us out.

With over 4 years of experience at BCU and within BCUSU, the transition period into a post-covid world with VABS as your President will mean you are in safe hands as I will work hard – and smart – to represent the needs of students, ensuring the student voice is heard using the increasingly positive relationship with the University, especially the Vice Chancellor’s Office.

As President of the people, the students of BCU, I serve from within, listening intently, taking account of small voices raising them up to sit at the change table.

A vote for VABS is a vote well used not only for your voice, but for those after you.

I represent you.
