Top 3 Goals
- Care for your wellbeing and keep you safe on and off campus - prioritise student wellbeing, safety and support by introducing a revolutionised support network and services - covering the entire student population to ensure every single student is taken care of to the highest extent – such as university-wide mental health funding, a wellbeing hotline, MHFA training for students, staff and security, minority safe spaces, Suicide/Mental Health Watch, self-defence & knife disarm classes etc.
- Make every penny count and improve your experience - lobby to reduce/refund your tuition fees and any additional costs in attempt to make your university experience worth every penny paid – alongside reviewing our facilities in person and online and making sure that they are up to standard, such as digital ID cards, free/cheaper printer credit, a review on our laptops, study areas and university apps.
- Better the policies that need looking over - amend and improve any current policies in order to uphold student fairness and satisfaction – ensure international students are treated fairly whilst they are in the UK, stand up to unfair policies and rights for both home and international students, further expand the Report & Support system, and ensure a holistic approach to Student Governance, ECs and any places needed.

- Volunteer as a Youth Mentor – educating young people in local schools and communities about their self and emotional wellbeing.
- Course Representative for my School – worked closely with academic staff to address feedback from students and ensure that students are looked after well.
- Student Ambassador (BLSS) – worked with my Law School, including the Head of School, marketing and staff, to promote my course and guide interested applicants through what the university experience has been like.
Why Should You Vote for Me?
Being at BCU and involved in the SU for 2 years, it has not been easy for any of us students. Home or international, the many who have survived since this pandemic, have not had the best time throughout. Mental health has become a pandemic of its own, and some students are still suffering in silence. It’s time we finally prioritise you as a student, and make sure that your time here is the best yet! It’s time we finally bring back the 21st century with a 21st century President, and start to change what needs changing! These elections are your chance to ensure your better days come sooner than you think, because a vote for me, is a vote 4 your wellbeing, 4 your safety, 4 better policies and 4 fair fees. Vote me, Bilal Hussain, to be your Union President for this year, and together let’s get #BILLYSBRAINS4BETTERDAYS!
