1) Why do you want to run for this position?
I am passionate about creating a more inclusive environment for all students. My experience in various student organisations have taught me the importance of representation and accountability, and I believe that I have the skills and experience necessary to make a positive impact in this role.
2) What would your priorities be if you were elected?
if elected my top priority would be;
- ensure the University provide two dedicated prayer rooms - one for men and one for women and that they make those rooms permanent and available in all campus buildings.
- Introduce tactile markings on bottom/top of stairs, on signs (directions and room numbers) to ensure blind/visually impaired students can find their way.
- Introduce a sensory room for anyone who's Neurodivergent/ or simply need a break from the stimuli of everyday life
3) What skills and experience do you have that would make you a good Officer?
I am confident that my experience as president of two societies, vice president of international society and my active involvement in various student groups makes me a excellent candidate for this role. I have a strong commitment to ensuring that all students have access to resources and support regardless of their background or abilities. I understand important of representation sand I'm eager to use my experience to make BCU a more inclusive place.
