Creating Communities through Enabling Oppertunities

Question 1:

I am running for this position to improve students' University experience by emphasizing the importance of the social aspect of University. I believe that a well-rounded university experience, including time for leisure activities, can enhance students' academic performance. As a trainee PE teacher, I have seen the benefits of a balanced education experience first-hand and want everyone to be able to experience this. I aim to raise awareness of these opportunities and encourage participation in sports and societies through my confident, collaborative, and creative approach.

Question 2:

During my time in office, my focus is to increase student awareness of opportunities within the university, including sports and societies. I want to help students take advantage of all that the university has to offer, especially during the cost-of-living crisis. I plan to work with the BCU sport strategy and create stronger connections between sports and societies. I aim to bring the university community together by organizing events such as campus leagues and dual fundraisers. I am a big advocate of student voice and wish to champion what the students want to help them grow. 

Question 3:

I am a creative and confident individual but a team player at heart which are skills that have developed through opportunity. During my time at BCU, I have engaged in various experiences and networking opportunities. I have been the BCU sports representative and course representative, both of which have helped me develop my communication skills. Additionally, I am the president of the women's hockey team, which requires strong organizational skills. These experiences have allowed me to grow as a person and have given me the opportunity to promote the university, create opportunities for others, and improve my interpersonal skills.
