The purpose of the University’s Hardship Fund is to help students experiencing financial difficulties which is impacting on their success and/or progression at the University. The Fund is for fully enrolled, UK domicile students of Birmingham City University. International students should apply to the International Hardship Fund.
Who can apply?
Although there are specific priority groups it is still worth applying if you are in financial need.
How to apply?
Essentially you need to complete an application form and provide evidence - see full details on how to apply. Apply early as the fund can run out. You should receive a decision in writing within four weeks.
If you experience a delay in your funding or find yourself in an emergency situation, you can apply for a short term loan.
