BCU Live Sound Society

The Live Sound Society aims to give students from all years the opportunity to crew on gigs and live productions.

Events range from small pub gigs to festivals and allow members to gain experience in the field of live sound engineering with the support of other students.

A variety of roles will be available to members, including front of house engineering, monitor engineering, stage managment and stage hand. Getting experience in all these roles will help give a great understanding of how sound works in a live environment.

Over the past few years, the society has grown a lot. We have gigs/events that take place during the academic year and during the summer where we go to festivals!

Past gigs include:

- Oxjam Birmingham 2014

- Networks Festival 2014

- Farmer Phils Festival 2014

- Shrewsbury Folk Festival 2014

- Acoustic Fesival Of Britain 2015

- L Fest 2016

- Acoustic Festival Of Britain 2016

We have a multitude of events coming up in the following year and want to encourage as many people as possible to take up the opportunity to get involved with live event production.

All experience levels are welcome!
