We are recruiting for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about talent, culture, and inclusive engagement practises to join BCUSU as our People & Culture Manager.
You’ll be leading a small but effective team and will be responsible for leading the development of people initiatives and creating a positive culture for all staff members at BCUSU. With a focus on inspiring high performance yet in an environment that has wellbeing, diversity, inclusivity, and positive staff engagement at its core. We are looking for an individual who works well with others, is results driven and strives for excellence. Experience in supporting managers handling employee relations matters is essential, along with a focus on HR policy development and delivery of the People Strategy priorities.

Hours
Full Time Contract - 35 hours a week
Applications for reduced hours (minimum of 30 hours) or a flexible working pattern will be considered. Please state on your covering letter the details of your preferred working pattern.
We are currently trialling a hybrid working pilot supporting a pattern of 60% of hours to be worked in the office and 40% from home each week. There is the requirement to be able to respond to business need so, at times, there may be additional requirements to work from the office so a flexible approach is essential.
Annual Leave - 32 days plus bank holidays, potential to increase to 37 days with long service increments
Salary
Starting at £32,656 with potential to increase to £37,262
Salary listed is the Full Time Equivalent Salary and will be paid pro-rata in accordance with contracted hours.
