Data Protection

As your Students' Union, we're here to ensure you have the best possible experience while you study at Birmingham City University; whether that's making sure you have access to our amazing facilities and services, or making sure the data we hold about you, is safe. You're part of the family, and in our family we have no secrets!  We pride ourselves on being a transparent organisation, so within the documents below, you can see how we manage your data inline with the Data Protection Act 1998 and exactly what this means for you.

The documents will show you (and our staff) our policies for processing data, how we access your data, how we assess our processing activities, how we gain consent and how you can change your preferences at any time.
