  • BCU Active: For Fun

We’ll get you involved in activities that you never realised are recognised sports, to really maximise your enjoyment and to make keeping active, fun. You can enjoy activities including Frisbee Golf, Zombie Runs, Roller Discos and Ultraviolet Zumba to name a few. We really do have something for everyone so get involved!

  • BCU Active: Try It

You’ll get the chance to meet new people and try new things out. Maybe we have an activity that you’ve always wondered about, but you’ve never had the chance to try it without having to commit long term to it, or even invest in new equipment. With Try It, you’ll have none of that – you can literally turn up, try it and that’s that. If you enjoy it and want to try it again, we’ll encourage you, but if not, we won’t hassle you at all.

  • BCU Active: Game On

If you get hooked on any of the sports we offer and find you would like to compete, then we won’t stop you! We’ll help you to take part in our organised leagues, without the time commitments and costs that usually comes with competing in University leagues.

BCU Active is our brand new initiative designed to get you active! Although we have many sports teams for you to get involved in, we realise that competitive team games may not be for you.

We also know that the pressures of trying to fit in any kind of regular activity due to study, family life or work commitments, can at times be challenging. This is why we’ve come up with a different approach to activity – one where you can just turn up and play, try new things and above all, just have fun! BCU Active is split into 3 different sections; Try It, For Fun and Game On. Lots of our activities are totally free! Yes that’s right – you don’t have to pay a penny! At all. Nothing. Zero. Nada. All you do is turn up and play! Other activities range from just £1-£5, with our BCU Active: Game On sports (6 a side Football leagues) costing just £20 to register a team and then just £2 per person per game, which includes transport, coaching and entry to the league.
