NUS Liberation Conference

2-day conference looking at campaigns for underrepresented groups
Monday 17 April 2023 10am - 4pm Blackpool Gardens (accom and transport inc.)

Come to the NUS liberation conference to build focused, high-impact campaigns with other students!

The conference will also explore new ideas to be vocal and visible on, such as the Disabled Students’ Allowance, Decolonising Education, and fighting for liberated trans healthcare and Gender Recognition Act reform.

This will be a 2 day event taking place on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th April, 10am-4pm. Transport and accommodation will be provided for free by BCUSU.

We need up to 6 students to represent BCUSU, from the following:

  • One Black* Student (reserved)
  • One additional place for a Black* Woman Student (reserved)
  • One Trans Student
  • One LGBTQ+ Student (reserved)
  • One Disabled Student (reserved)
  • One Woman Student (reserved)

*Black is an inclusive term NUS uses to denote people of African, Arab, Asian and Caribbean heritage. If you fulfil more than one of these characteristics, please mention it in your application  to help us successfully fill all places.
