Black Students Matter Conference 2022

Join BCUSU as we host the first Black Students Matter Conference in participation with NUS! After you've secured your ticket, you'll receive a receipt with a Registration Form, please fill this out ASAP.
Monday 06 June 2022 10am - 5pm Curzon Building

Birmingham City University Students’ Union (BCUSU) are delighted to announce the first Black Students Matter Conference to be held at BCU between the 6th and 7th June 2022.

This sector first conference is a national networking event for black students and students with mixed heritage (non-political African/Caribbean) who are delegates, elected officers, student representatives, society leaders or interested activists. 

The Black Students Matter Conference is a safe space for these students to participate in workshops and panel discussions centred around revolutionising the black student experience nationally across different levels of education.

Speakers at the conference include an exceptional selection of black professionals and academics even from our very own Black Studies course.

Working in collaboration with the National Union of Students (NUS) we would like to invite all black students from across the country to join us in helping revolutionise the black student experience.
