International Dance Day

Join us for a fun evening of performances, food & drinks!

Societies, and students who love dancing, are taking part in International Dance Day!

This year, we are celebrating International Dance Day for the first time. Our wonderful societies are going to perform to embrace the International Dance Day and encourage you all to dance!

If you want to perform at this event, please email Jinal directly.

International Dance Day is celebrated on 29th April every year to encourage participation and education in dance. Several dance events and festivals are held on this date all over the globe.

In 1982 the Dance Committee of the International Theatre institute founded International Dance Day, the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), creator of modern ballet. The International Dance Day Message intends to celebrate dance, revel in the universality of this art form, cross all political, cultural, and ethnic barriers, and bring people together with a common language - dance.
