The Jazz Jam Night

Discover the talent from students at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, during our Jazz Jam Night!
Monday 13 September 2021 6pm - 11pm Eagle & Ball, Gopsal St, City Centre Campus

We're excited to announce our first ever Jazz Jam Night, in collaboration with students of BCU's Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. The evening will have musical performances from a live band made up of RBC students and you're welcome to listen, watch and get involved!.

Performances will start at 7pm and it's free to attend.

The session will be kicked-off with an informal performance from the house jazz band:

  • Ben Goodman-Church
  • Nathan Shingler
  • Jack Insley
  • Oscar Lawrence

The second half is an opportunity for anyone, who would like, to join in with the band, pick a jazz standard or just improvise. It's open to any BCU students who have experienced a bit of jazz or improvisation before and knows some tunes.

Don't worry, if you're not looking to perform - that's okay! It'll be a really fun evening of varied live jazz music to watch, listen and enjoy a drink.

Check out the new food and drink menus at the Eagle & Ball.
