Course Rep Training
It is important for all Course Reps to attend a training session as soon as possible after they become a Rep. Training sessions offer the following:
-
- A chance to learn more about what is involved in the role of a Rep and the skills you will need to be successful
-
- The opportunity to meet other Reps on your course and from other courses and discuss the different issues that are important to you
-
- A place to get your questions answered by experienced Reps and to meet the Students' Union staff who can help you throughout the year
-
- A chance to learn more about the different opportunities available to Reps and the things you can get involved in over the year.
~ Rep loyalty cards, offering discounts exclusively available to Reps across the Students' Union and University, will be given out to all Reps who attend training sessions. ~
The Union offers training sessions across all University campuses that are open to all Reps, as well as occasionally providing sessions to specific courses or schools when asked to do so. Each session lasts up to 2 hours, and Reps only need to attend 1 session.

Becoming a Faculty Rep
Faculty Reps represent the views of students at a Faculty level - and they get paid £500 for it!
Becoming a Faculty Rep is a great opportunity for a current Course Rep - you can develop your skills further still and really improve things for students not just on your course but across your whole Faculty.

Awards for Reps

The Birmingham City Student Rep Awards are handed out towards the end of the academic year and reward those Student Reps who we feel have gone above and beyond what is expected to really make a difference to students on their course.
This year awards for reps will be given
