The aim of the First-Aid Africa project is to train volunteers and students like you in the UK to travel to Africa and teach First-Aid to schools and orphanages in Tanzania.
You don’t need any previous experience because all your training will be provided in the UK before you leave. All you need to have is the right attitude and the desire to help.
Some places in Tanzania can be days away from their nearest hospital. We hope that with your help we can provide the equipment and knowledge that is so urgently needed.
This type of work is extremely rewarding as well as challenging. Anyone wishing to volunteer should be motivated, show good initiative and enjoy working with others.
Worried about the cost? Don’t panic, working together with other volunteers, you can raise lots of money through fundraising; you will be surprised what is achievable when you all work together!
Volunteering does come with its rewards to; in your spare time why not arrange a visit to the Serengeti National park, where Safari’s can easily be arranged. Mt. Kilimanjaro can be seen from your schools and an expedition up its slopes could be a challenging and dramatic climax to your trip. Prefer something more relaxing? Why not chill with a beach holiday on the white sands of Zanzibar! However extra excursions are not included in our Volunteer itinerary or costs but are very much available In-Country.
