We are Birmingham City University's Climbing and Mountaineering Society!
We welcome all students from beginners to the experienced and climb regularly indoors. With a packed social itinerary including nights out in Birmingham, Christmas market trips, ice skating, UV climbing parties and so much more, you will get the chance to meet a great bunch of new people, enjoy the sport both indoors and outdoors and get the most out of your university experience!
Once you have paid your membership, you will be added to the group chat so you can keep up with where everyone is climbing and organise your own events.
We meet at Redpoint Climbing Centre in the city centre every Wednesday, followed by a pub trip. Check our Instagram for the exact dates. Entry at this time is £5.00 with a valid student card and equipment is available to hire.
We also meet every Monday and friday at Depot in Digbeth. We will meet afternoon/evening and the entry price is similar to Redpoint. You can fill out an unsupervised waver here to get climbing at Depot quicker.
Your £18.00 membership fee contributes towards insurance, equipment, safety training and supports the club in maintaining its high standard of teaching.
This society is holding online elections to choose their committee for the new academic year 2026/27. Any paid member can apply for a committee position that interests them and all paid members will also be able to vote for their preferred candidates when polling opens.
