A little bit about BCU Tigers Cheerleading-
Welcome to BCU Tigers!
Cheerleading welcomes everyone from complete beginners to experienced cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts. It is an amazing way to form close friendships while keeping fit, improving skills, confidence and most importantly having fun!
BCU tigers offers something for everybody whether you dream of competing, showcasing your skills or simply trying something new during your Uni years. We welcome all age and abilities and look forward to seeing lots of new faces this year!

Competitive teams-
BCU Tigers currently have 3 competitive teams, these being Pom, Level 2 Stunt and Hip Hop. Throughout the year these teams have the opportunity to compete at least twice, at national competitions. Over the years we have racked up various titles at multiple competitions. Our Pom team have taken the national title both at Future cheer and ICC Nationals. In the recent 24/25 season, Pom became 3rd place national champions at ICC. Our Hip Hop team have also done extremely well at ICC Nationals, taking home 3rd place in 2023. Our Level 2 Stunt team is led by an experienced and qualified coach, this team placed top 5 at ICC nationals in the 24/25 season. Being on a competition team brings such a sense of achievement and is about more than just the trophies and medals. These results are only possible due to the support each team member offers to one another. Competition teams train between once to twice a week and the training environment is a place where close friendships form and lifelong memories are made.
Varsity Team-
If competing is not your thing, that’s totally fine! Our varsity team is all about having fun, learning new skills and making memories, without any pressure. We run weekly sessions where you can learn choreography, develop new skills and have fun! If you’re up for it, you also have the opportunity to perform at halftime of one of the last sports games of the season. Not keen on performing? That’s okay too! You can still come along to sessions, get involved with stunts, learn to dance with Pom’s and join in with all the fun games. Varsity is the perfect place to stay active while making new friends and memories that you will cherish when you look back at your Uni experience.
Wednesdays-
Every Wednesday we go along to cheer at the games of various sports teams from the Uni and also host amazing socials. Each week has a different theme to keep it exciting and fun. Every sports team from BCU joins in and so it is a great way to meet new people. Our main social event and fundraiser each year is a huge night that you won’t forget. It is definitely a highlight and something to look forward too! We also hold multiple sober socials throughout the year which includes going out for meals, movie nights or our annual trip to the German Market. Socials are an easy way to have fun and get to know other people, especially when Uni can be daunting sometimes. These social events will create memories that make your Uni experience so much better!
