Joining the women’s football and futsal team is a great way to make new friends, keep fit, enjoy socials and play competitive football and futsal. We were a new group to 2012 and are going from strength to strength with placing second in the BUCS league in our first season competing and continued to go with the introduction of our second team, which is now known as our development team. So if you are new to the sport, just want to develop your skills or cannot commit to playing competitively in BUCS then development is for you! Last season we incorporated futsal into our membership giving you two sports for the price of one. With futsal, we are also entered into BUCS and play all- day tournaments around 3 times throughout the year.
Expect plenty of socials with the club, with bar crawls, SU nights and other activities such as bowling. Expect to meet people from other sport clubs and maybe participate in different sporting activities, as our club are known for supporting the other teams within BCU. We also host an annual charity football tournament in memory of ex- BCUWFC member: Rebecca Moore. Over the past years, this has become a big charity event in Team BCU's calendar, with many different groups getting involved, including alumni, all proceeds going to Action Against Allergy. Also, at the end of the season there is an annual BCU Sports Tour which is a highlight of many students social calendar, with the opportunity to compete, socialise and chant with such like minded students from around the country. Tour is completely unforgettable!
Having a great university experience means getting involved, and joining football& futsal allows you to alleviate assignment stress and really become part of a team and the Team BCU family!
