Amnesty International UK works to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. As a global movement of over seven million people, Amnesty International is the world's largest grassroots human rights organisation. They investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilise the public, and help transform societies to create a safer, more just world. They even received the Nobel Peace Prize for their life-saving work.
To start a BCU Amnesty Society we need to find a committee. So far there is one student interested in starting this society but we still need three more. The committee roles that are needed are explained in the video below.
