About Sustainability Society

About Us

The focus of the Sustainability Society is to help make our university a more environmentally friendly place. We provide a space for like-minded people to meet and make friends and raise their voice in the midst of our climate emergency. You are BCUSU's student-led voice for climate justice!

Our long-term goal is to plant a tree for every student and member of staff at Birmingham City University - that's 26,000 trees! We aim to offer opportunities for students to plant trees on and off campus and partner with local organisations to secure funding and support for our goal.

Current total: 1360 trees

We are a Liberation Society!

Our Society is a Liberation Society, which means we never close down, are free to join and are funded by your Students' Union for our events and activities.

This is because we represent a key demographic of Birmingham City University, and are recognised by the National Union of Students as part of their Liberation Campaign.

No elections running at the moment
