Details
We are looking for a few BCU Students to join us as Digital Engagement / Social Media Assistants on a temporary contract to help support BCUSU’s delivery of digital content, including social media posts. The responsibilities will include creating new digital engagement assets, engaging on social media with our student audience, supporting events, filming, photography as well as generally supporting the Marketing and Communications manager with other marketing activities. This semester we are focusing some work on the cost-of-living crisis, you will be involved in researching this topic and delivering content and communications to help engage with and support BCU students during this challenging time.
Our preferred candidate will need to be proficient in the use of social media platform, be confident to approach and engage with students and have some experience in photo and editing software. You will need to be able to manage your working time effectively, using your own initiative and be able to work unsupervised.
You will be primarily based in Curzon Building, City Centre however some travel to the other campuses will also be needed.
Principle purpose of job:
- Assist with the delivery of the digital engagement with students through social media
- Participate and create new digital engagement assets
- General support to the Marketing & Communications Manager
Job Description

Salary
- The rate of pay is £10.96 per hour (this is the equivalent of the annual salary £19,933 paid pro rata according to the number of hours you work)
