15.00 Full Time contract available at 35 hours per week. Applications for reduced hours (minimum of 15 hours pw) (paid pro-rata) or a flexible working pattern will be considered.

The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) is a national exercise, introduced by the government in England. Its aim has been to assess excellence in teaching at Universities and assess how they ensure excellent outcomes for their students. BCU has to prepare a TEF submission, this includes a student written submission for which the Students’ Union take the lead in order to provide the student voice assessment of teaching at BCU. This fixed term contract role is for an assistant to join the engagement team at BCUSU to plan for, research and prepare the student written submission.  The contract will be fixed term, till the end of January 2023.

The successful candidate will be a BCU graduate (within the last 2 years) or currently enrolled as a student at BCU, as it’s vital you have experience and knowledge of BCU.  Excellent report writing skills and experience of designing and analysing surveys are also essential attributes.

Principle purpose of job:

  • Support the drafting and completion of the Students’ Union submission to the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)
  • Collate and evaluate feedback relevant to the student submission for the TEF
  • Work closely with key stakeholders
