Details

We are looking for a Website Developer to join our Marketing & Communications team, based at our City Centre Campus. The website developer is responsible for the development and updating content on BCUSU’s website.  This is often the first point of engagement with students so it’s essential that the website is up to date, engaging and provides easy access to the wealth of services and support that BCUSU offers to our community of students. 

Our preferred candidate will have experience in a web design, information architecture, user experience or content design role as well as experience of web development software packages (e.g. WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript).  You will need to be able to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines and have a strong commitment to continuously improving service delivery.  BCUSU is a positive employer, with strong staff engagement, a supportive working environment and enhanced employee benefits.

Principle purpose of job:

  • Maintain website and administration of membership data
  • Responsible for developing BCUSU’s website
  • Responsible for digital design, in conjunction with fellow team members
