The Current Situation in Afghanistan. A collaboration between the Afghan Society and the Women's society.

Wednesday 24 November 2021 6pm - 8pm C020
The Current Situation in Afghanistan. A collaboration between the Afghan Society and the Women's society.
This event will greatly focus on the situation of Afghani women and orphans in Afghanistan. An ex-government official will talk about women's rights and feminism in Afghanistan. We will also hold a debate and do some activities at the end.

This event will be held on campus at the Hive in Curzon.

The event will consist of:
•    Raising awareness of women's rights in Afghanistan.
•    A guest speaker will discuss women’s right, taliban and awareness of rights.
•    An ex-government official will discuss experience in Afghanistan

During the meeting, the ex-government official will join you via a zoom call.
After the zoom call with ex-government official, there will be activities and challenges involving Afghani food. Entry fee is £3.

The event will be live streamed on Instagram but not recorded.

The event is aimed at a bigger demographic than members of the Afghan society.

The end timing of the event is not definitive and has been shown for admin purposes only.
