Whilst students are generally pleased with the new practice rooms in the old canteen, they still feel they need more practice rooms. Some students felt that the new rooms aren’t soundproof enough for the use of big instruments, and there is an issue with piano players using the rooms.

We will continue to discuss the need for practice rooms and student concerns with the Faculty. We are pleased that the Faculty listened to student feedback and did create new rooms in the old canteen.

Course representatives at Conservatoire were wondering if they could sometimes have use of the Union office space when it isn’t otherwise in use to help support the work of their student council.

We are looking into the practicalities of allowing reps time in the office for drop in sessions etc at specific times during the week.

Conservatoire students would like to have large lockers or lockable rooms to store instruments. They also feel there isn't enough time between lectures.
