Student Employment Opportunities - Want to make your University better and get paid for it?

After a very successful pilot of the Student Academic Partners Scheme, in which the scheme gained national recognition through the National Union of Students and the Higher Education Academy, we invite students and staff to submit new project proposals.

The SAP Scheme offers students an opportunity to get paid for up to 125 hours of work.  This will require you to work alongside staff members, in equal partnership, to strengthen your learning experience at the University.

Students, both Undergraduate and Postgraduate, and staff are asked to design, develop and deliver projects that look at enhancing the student and learning experience

There are only two things you need:

1) An idea

2) A staff partner (ideally from within your course or faculty but not essential)

We can help with the second point as we will be running ‘matchmaking sessions' for those who have 1 but not 2...but every project must have a student and staff partner, so get searching!

If you are struggling to find a Staff Partner we do have two matchmaking sessions planned, details of which can be found here.

However, if you feel your project could have a particular impact in the University but cant find a Staff Partner and the dates are not convenient let please get in touch.

The projects chosen will be decided via an application process based on the value of the impact within the University.

Fancy applying?

Full information regarding the scheme and the application process can be found here:

The application form can be found here. Remember, you will need a staff partner in order to be successful in your submission.

The deadline for applications is the 22 of October 2010
