Cake Sales

Making your own cakes is a great way to raise funds for your Student Group but there is a certain element of risk in doing so. In order for it to be safe you need to ensure you follow some key principles, as we are nice the Union has decided to create some info for you to make this as easy as possible! Take a look at our guidance below to help you on the way and also an example of a Risk Assessment. We have also provided a sign for you to download to put on your stall.

Other Options

As well as making your own cakes you can also buy products made by a reputable supplier, this decreases the risk to the group, you will still need to risk assess the activity but wont need to worry about food preparation.

Krispy Kreme

A popular option for Student Group's is to sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts as the company offers them at a heavily discounted price for fundraising. To find out more about this option visit http://www.krispykreme.co.uk/fundraising/raise-dough/

Don't forget to book space for your cake sale by contacting the Student Activities Team well in advance, space can be booked at any BCU campus!

If you need anymore help please don't hesitate to contact the Student Activities team.
