Lounge North
In the process of refurbishment, Lounge North will look amazing and it will be a major venue for events during Freshers '11. It is also a great place to eat, drink and play between lectures and meet up prior to nights out around Birmingham. Lounge North is located in the Union building at City North Campus.

The Tower Ballroom, Edgbaston
This impressive venue overlooks the Edgbaston Reservoir, and has a capacity of approximately 2000 people. It plays host to a variety of events, and ‘Hustle’ and ‘Doctors’ have been filmed here too. You can catch the number 80 bus from stop CB on Corporation Street in Birmingham City Centre and stop off at Icknield Port Road, which is a short walk from the Tower Ballroom. Broad Street
World-famous Broad Street is THE place to go for a good night out in Birmingham. The street consists of 29 bars and clubs including Gatecrasher, Risa and Walkabout. There are also countless restaurants, the ‘walk of stars’ and two art galleries.

This fantastic venue will play host to our Aloha! Welcome Party. With a beach party theme and amazing atmosphere, we’ll make sure you really feel welcomed at the O2 Academy. Plus, if you are one of the first 2000 students to arrive, you’ll get a free Lai :)

HMV Institute
The Digbeth Institute was originally built as a Methodist congregational chapel at the turn of the 1900’s. Today the HMV Institute is one of the most popular venues in Birmingham, and this year home of the epic Frat Party – a weekly Friday night which will bring students from all Universities in Birmingham together organised by your very own Students’ Union.

Oceana
The five themed bars and two clubs in Oceana all have a different look and feel about them, taking you from one country to another. Oceana will play host to our Neon Bubble Party during Freshers and continue as our legendary Wednesday club night throughout the year.
