 Union Rounders Tournament
This Wednesday 26th May, come down and take part in the Students’ Union’s Rounders Tournament. It is the final summer sports tournament and is set to be very popular! So make your way to thepavilion (B6 7AA) at 2pm on Wednesday and have some summer fun!
Bye, bye by-election!
This week the Union has been running a last minute by-election to fill some vacancies on the Executive team and voting took place online. The results will be announced during Bonkers Friday 21st May and appear on the Union website on Saturday 22nd May. Click here to go to the results page.

10pm – 3am every Friday in Bar 42
Expect Bonkers’ll be in full swing for the last few weeks of term with the same cheap drinks and we’ll have a world cup special on Fri 11th June! Entry £2 before 11pm, £3 after. Check the Union website for more details on Bonkers.
 Stop Burglary Now Action Day
The Union held a successful anti-burglary action day on Thursday 13th May. Volunteers dressed up as burglars and spent the day talking to students about the risk of burglary and giving out crime prevention goodies. See Stop Burglary Now Action Day for further information.
 Annual General Meeting
On Tuesday 11th May, students gathered in the Kenrick Lecture Theatre for the Union Annual General Meeting. There was plenty on the agenda, from reports on the Union’s progress over the year, to debates about how to improve democracy in the organisation. Click here for a full AGM report.
 New card services
We have acted on some really good feedback from our students and have installed a streamline card payment system in our City North Union Reception. You can now use your debit or credit card to pay for merchandise and event tickets. Also, a second cash point machine at City North will be operating from the end of May, ready for the new academic year.
