This year we have changed the way Freshers Crew will work in order to deliver the best Freshers Crew experience ever!
We are now recruiting organized, enthusiastic and committed individuals who will all be paid an hourly rate, to help us make a positive impact on the lives of all the new students at Birmingham City University. As well as recruiting for Freshers Crew, we also have opportunities available for 3 people to become supervisors, who will be directly responsible for the performance of the main crew.
If you enjoy meeting new people and believe that Freshers Week is about making friends and settling students in so they can make the most out of their University experience, then read on for more details of how you can become either a member of our Freshers Crew or one of our Freshers Crew Supervisors…
We are recruiting 48 members of Freshers Crew 2012 who will have the following responsibilities:

To assist and welcome all students moving into halls

To encourage social activity and inclusion
-
To promote Birmingham City Students' Union and assist where required
-
To provide a safe environment for all of the above.

Promoting Union Events
-
Selling tickets and wristbands
-
Door knocking before events
-

Freshers Crew Supervisors
Along with the Freshers Crew members above, we are also recruiting for 3 paid supervisors, to oversee the work of all members of Freshers Crew and work closely with the Union.

How can I apply?
To apply to be a member of Freshers Crew 2012 please complete this application form. You will then have to pass the application form stage and attend an interview on Thursday 17th May. All successful applicants will be notified of a time for their interview.
To apply to be a crew supervisor please complete this application form. You will then have to pass the application form stage and attend an interview on Wednesday 16th May. All successful applicants will be notified of a time for their interview.
The deadline for all application forms to be returned is 12pm on Friday 11th May
